Alyssa Cole

Each Prismatic rug is constructed with a plush EverStrand base, one of Mohawk’s most popular fiber types that is eco-friendly, too.

“EverStrand is a premium polyester made from recycled plastic bottles. It has a very soft, silky hand while being durable enough to stand up to foot traffic from today’s busy families,” said Jennifer Palmer, vice president ecommerce flooring North America. “This particular yarn also features a subtle sheen that’s really beautiful when it catches the light.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for my new Prismatic area rug?
Your rug can be spot cleaned with a solution of water and mild detergent. Always follow the care and cleaning instructions on the manufacturer’s label, located on the back of your area rug.

Don’t forget to vacuum regularly, including when your area rug first arrives. This will help the fibers stand up after being matted down during the shipping process and will result in an even more vibrant appearance.

What type of backing do Prismatic rugs have? Do I need a rug pad?

All of the rugs in this collection have a non-skid latex backing. Mohawk Home always recommends the use of a rug pad to protect your flooring, prevent slipping and bunching, and to extend the life of the rug.

Are all of the rugs in Prismatic bright and colorful?

While Prismatic certainly has some show-stopping area rugs that feature trending colors like pink, purple and blue, it has toned down patterns and soft, neutral colors like cream, taupe, gray and blush as well. There are even some styles with a vintage-washed look. We’re proud to offer something for everyone with this collection, including area rugs for kids and tweens

What kinds of patterns are in the collection?

Traditional Persian styles in classic and modern colors, geometric, floral, tribal, southwestern, stripe, patchwork, medallion, ogee, and abstract patterns all have a place in Prismatic.
